On 14 April 2011, during a gala event in the Museum of John Paul II Collection in Warsaw, the Trust Award Committee handed the “Gold OTIS 2011” statuettes to the winners of the eighth edition of the competition.
The gala was a meeting of representatives of pharmaceutical companies whose products had received the largest number of votes in a direct voting of consumers; they received the “Gold OTIS 2011” statuettes from the representatives of the Award Committee. In the category of “preparations for joints”, the winner was Artresan. Agnieszka Gużda, Artresan Product Manager, was the person who received the “Gold OTIS” from the Award Committee.
Traditionally, the Trust Award Committee also granted some special awards and distinctions for noble initiatives and people involved in activities aiming at the improvement of the situation of patients in Poland. The event was also an opportunity to announce a social prevention campaign entitled “I do not have HCV!”. The majority of people infected with HCV in Poland are unaware of it. Therefore, on 9 May free-of-charge HCV tests will be carried out in over 30 Polish towns.

A concert by Izabela Kopeć was an extra event during the gala, and the event was hosted by Dariusz Dewille and Paweł Kruś.
